DESCRIPTION:Sedna: Fairy Tales and Myths for Challenging Times \n🐳 In this interactive workshop\, we dive deep into the Inuit creation myth of Sedna\, to see what is waiting to be revealed in the depths of the ocean. \n🧜‍♀️ Sedna\, the goddess of the sea and marine animals in Inuit mythology\, is known as the «Mother of the Sea» and it said to control the supply of sea animals\, which are essential for the survival of the Inuit people. We will explore the story using tools from the Story Arte creative toolbox like Gestalt therapy\, expressive arts therapies and psychodrama. \n🌊 As we swim alongside Sedna in her watery world\, we will discover how this myth of creation resonates with us in these uncertain times and connects us to the future of the oceans of the world. \n🌙 We will also take into consideration the planetary configuration of the dwarf planet Sedna and do a new Moon ritual to seed our dreams for 2026. \n🔥 Stories have been with us since the very beginning of humanity when we gathered around the fire to listen to myths of creation to connect us with our inner selves\, our clan and the universe. \n📅 Friday November 21st\, 2025\n⏰ 14:00 to 16:00 (CET) / 13:00 to 15:00 (UK time)\n🏠 Online\n🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 This workshop is experiential\, and participants will be invited to explore the story in depth and engage actively in the creative activities. Asturias tiene raíces celtas y comparte cosas en común con otros países del mismo ámbito geográfico como Escocia: las gaitas\, el paisaje verde\, las montañas\, el salmón en los ríos\, el mar\, un folklore rico y los seres mitológicos de su acervo etnocultural. DESCRIPTION:Exploring the Heroine’s Journey through Fairy Tales – Vasalisa the Wise \nIn this interactive online workshop\, we will explore the Heroine’s Journey of Vasalisa the Wise\, an ancient folk tale from Russia. \nAfter receiving a special gift from her dying mother\, Vasalisa is forced to travel into the deep\, dark forest in search of fire. We will accompany Vasalisa on her path and discover what is waiting for her inside Baba Yaga’s hut and how this ancient tale may resonate with us on a personal level. \nIn this workshop: \n✨ We will briefly discuss the 12 stages of The Hero’s Journey. \n✨ We will explore the stages that are present in Vasalisa’s Heroine’s Journey. \n✨ We will call upon the wisdom of this tale to guide us on our own life paths. \n✨ We will explore the rich symbology of the story and the archetype of the witch. \n✨ We will connect with the elements of fire and water. \n✨ We will immerse ourselves in this tale using creative tools from the Story Arte toolbox\, like visualization exercises\, journaling\, and expressive arts. \n📅 Date: Monday November 11th\, 2024\n⏰ Time: 11:00 to 13:00 (CET) / 10:00 to 12:00 (UK time)\n🏠 Place: Online\n🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 This is an ideal workshop for storytellers\, therapists\, educators and anyone else who is interested in fairy tales and exploring the heroine’s journey.
