SUMMARY:Working Creatively with Stories: Blue Beard
DESCRIPTION:In this interactive workshop\, we explore the story of Blue Beard through tools from the worlds of Gestalt\, art therapy and/or Psychodrama. We will be working mainly with the version from the book “Women who Run with the Wolves” by Clarissa Pinkola Estés. \nWe will be working with the symbolic language of fairy tales and we will explore different aspects of self through creative story-based activities and the use of nesting dolls. This workshop is experiential\, and participants will be invited to explore the story in depth and engage actively in the activities. \nStories have been with us since the very beginning of humanity when we gathered around the fire to listen to myths of creation to connect us with our inner selves\, our clan and the universe. Stories have accompanied us through dark times\, of war and plague and they are here to accompany us now\, with their medicine\, in this time of uncertainty. \nIn this workshop: \nWe will call upon the ancient wisdom of this fairy tale to guide us. \nWe will experiment with tools from the world of Gestalt\, art therapy or psychodrama as we deepen into the symbolic language of the story of Blue Beard \nWe will explore different aspects of self to connect with our inner predator and inner guides. \nWe will explore how this story was used with a client in a therapeutic setting by using nesting dolls \nLearning objectives participants can expect from this event \nYou will see how this ancient fairy tale\, can be used with a client in a therapeutic setting \nYou will learn ways of exploring emergent aspects of self\, by working with nesting dolls and other symbolic objects. \nYou will learn how to explore the symbolic language of fairy tales.

DESCRIPTION:In this interactive workshop\, we journey deep into the literary fairy tale of The Little Mermaid to explore the story using tools from the Story Arte creative toolbox. Gestalt therapy\, art therapy and/or Psychodrama will be accompanying us on the voyage. \nWe will be working with an abridged oral version of Hans Christian Anderson´s famous story. The focus is not on the version by Walt Disney. \nWe will be working with the symbolic language of fairy tales\, and we will explore the different characters in depth\, especially the Sea witch. This workshop is experiential\, and participants will be invited to explore the story in depth and engage actively in the activities. \nStories have been with us since the very beginning of humanity when we gathered around the fire to listen to myths of creation to connect us with our inner selves\, our clan and the universe. This workshop is experiential\, and participants will be invited to explore the story in depth and engage actively in the activities. \nStories have been with us since the very beginning of humanity when we gathered around the fire to listen to myths of creation to connect us with our inner selves\, our clan and the universe. Stories have accompanied us through dark times\, of war and plague and they are here to accompany us now\, with their medicine\, in this time of uncertainty. \nIn this workshop: \nWe will call upon the wisdom of this famous story to guide us. \nWe will experiment with tools from the world of Gestalt\, art therapy or psychodrama as we deepen into the symbolic language of the story of Peter Pan. \nWe will walk in the shoes of the different characters in the story and explore their back stories. \nWe will explore the themes that come up during the development of the workshop \nLearning objectives participants can expect from this event \nYou will learn how to work with the story of Peter Pan in a therapeutic setting \nYou will learn how to explore the characters in Peter Pan and briefly see how they connect to the Enneagram. \nYou will see how to work with some of the themes that this story may bring up in the group.
